Getting Your Home Ready to Sell

Preparing your home for the market is all about first impressions. Buyers form opinions within seconds, and I’ll help you make sure your home stands out for all the right reasons.
What to Focus On Before Listing
- Curb Appeal MattersYour home’s exterior is the first thing buyers see—let’s make it inviting! A tidy lawn, fresh mulch, and even a pop of color with flowers can make a huge difference.
- Tackle Small RepairsFix anything that could raise red flags—leaky faucets, chipped paint, or loose doorknobs. Small updates like fresh paint in key rooms can go a long way.
- Declutter & Deep CleanA clean, clutter-free space feels bigger and more inviting. Pack away personal items, clear countertops, and consider professional carpet cleaning.
- Stage for SuccessI’ll help you set the scene for buyers—neutral décor, fresh flowers, and great lighting make all the difference.
Be Flexible for Showings
- The more available your home is, the better! Especially in the first few days, we want to get as many buyers through as possible. Some sellers even choose to go away for the first weekend to allow for back-to-back showings without the hassle.
- Buyers need to picture themselves in your home, so I’ll handle the showings while you’re out. It’s best to step out so they feel comfortable asking questions and envisioning their life there.
This process is all about putting your home’s best foot forward—and I’ll be there to guide you every step of the way!
